The Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) executive board unanimously approved the extension of the “no-contact period” for the high school sports calendar through Sunday, Sept. 13, which means there shall be no instructional or developmental sport specific activity allowed between high school coaches and student-athletes.
Applicable start date penalties for violations will be enforced according to HHSAA regulations, which include, but are not limited to, the suspension of a coach for part or the entire season.
The HHSAA member leagues include the Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF), Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH), Kauai Interscholastic Federation (KIF), Maui Interscholastic League (MIL), and the Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA).

About the HHSAA
Founded in 1956, the Hawaii High School Athletic Association is a non‐profit, 501(c)(3) educational athletic organization exclusively dedicated to serving 96 public and independent member high schools statewide, as they work cooperatively to support and promote athletics as part of the high school education program. As the umbrella organization of high school athletics, the HHSAA operates 44 state championships in 18 different sports, establishing consistent standards and rules for competition, in addition to providing professional development opportunities for coaches and athletic administrators.
