WAIMEA - The Kapa`a Warriors (3-8 overall, 2-3 second round) kept their slim pennant hopes alive with a 4-2 decision over the Menehune (3-7 overall, 1-3 second round) Wednesday afternoon on the Waimea High School campus diamond. With three games left in the KIF second round of play (Saturday, April 21st, 10 a.m., Waimea @ Kaua`i double-header and Wednesday, April 25th, 2:45 p.m. single contest Kaua`i @ Kapa`a), both the Warriors and Menehune need to sweep the Red Raiders (9-0 overall, 3-0 second round) to stay in the title hunt. A Kaua`i victory in any of their three final games would return the 2007 league crown to the southside.
