Remnants from Jurassic park, dinosaur tracks, cows (and cow pies), all sorts of wildlife, mountains, and streams (dry as a bone) met the ILH cross country teams on Saturday. There even was a hay bale that the younger runners had to negotiate near the finish. The course was held on a part of Kualoa Ranch that is not usually open to the public. The weather was superb. Yes, pretty warm, and not much of a breeze on the upper part of the course.
This meet was unscored. This will change next week at CORP when USATF officials take over the meets and everyone gets official times.
Strong showings by Punahou, Iolani, Maryknoll and Kamehameha on the girls side point to an exciting season as everyone points to the HHSAA State Championship meet on Maui.
