HHSAA GIRLS GOLF: Jang wins in sudden-death shootout to claim state title

Jang’s performance (78-81–159) also helped the Buffanblu claim its
first team title in the nine years of the girls championship with team
total 495. Teammate Katie Sisler tallied a 81-79–160 stroke final to
secure the third place finish in the individual competition, while
Brittany Isobe finished 19th with 87-89–176.
Waiakea finished second with a final score of 503 in the team competition after ending the first round two strokes behind Maui High. Maui High finished third with 515.
Individually, Waiakea’s Britney Yada finished fourth with 84-79–163, Baldwin’s Dayna Bersamin finished fifth with 82-85–167 and Hawaii Prep’s Tammy Surtees finished sixth with 83-85–168.
