KOLOA, HAWAII – For the month of December, the Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort’s RumFire Poipu Beach Restaurant will be donating proceeds from their “Table 53 – You Dine, We Donate” program to the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation’s public school athletic programs.

Kicking off the December Table 53 fundraiser will be a viewing party for an episode of Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen” at RumFire Poipu Beach on Sunday, November 29, 2015. The episode features Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort’s acting Executive Chef Michael Young. Titled, “I Love it When You Call Me Big Papaya,” the show will include two chefs rolling around in a rickshaw while making green papaya salad, a chef riding a mechanical bull while making a barbecue bacon cheeseburger, and another chef baking a spice cake in a spice grinder, according to the Food Network website.

The cover charge of $10 for the viewing party includes light pupus inspired by the program, and net proceeds will also benefit the HHSAA’s Kaua‘i athletic programs.

RumFire Poipu Beach, the south shore’s oceanfront hot spot, is proud to support the Kaua‘i community through its Table 53 program. All net food & beverage proceeds for the restaurant's Table 53 is donated to local charities year round.  Since the program’s inception in October 2012, over $115,000 have been raised for local charities.

Facing the beautifully landscaped Ocean Courtyard and inviting fire pits, Table 53 features private booth seating for four guests, and is perfect for viewing Kaua‘i’s lovely sunsets.  Patrons who are interested in participating in RumFire’s month-long Table 53 program are encouraged to make reservations in advance by calling 808-742-4RUM and requesting Table 53. The table will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
