LIHU`E - Kaua`i (10-1 overall, 4-1 second round) and Waimea (4-8 overall, 2-4 second round) split Saturday's prep baseball twin-bill at the Vidinha Stadium diamond with the Red Raiders taking the opener by a 10-0 score in six innings and the Menehune rebounding in the second contest to edge out a 10-9 decision in nine innings. With the opening game victory, Kaua`i clinched the 2007 K.I.F. crown and lone league berth to the upcoming state baseball championships on Oahu in May. Prep baseball play concludes Wednesday, April 25th, as the Kapa`a Warriors (3-8 overall, 2-3 second round) host the Red Raiders in a 2:45 p.m. contest at the Ron Martin Athletic Field.
