WAIMEA - The Waimea Menehune girls varsity basketball squad claimed the 2007 Kaua`i Interscholastic Federation title with a 51-42 home victory over the Kapa`a Warriors Tuesday evening at the Clem Gomes Gymnasium.
With the win the Menehune also garnered the lone league berth to the upcoming 2007 HHSAA Hawaiian Airlines Girls Division II Basketball Championships on Oahu from May 15th-18th.
