KIF FOOTBALL: Waimea defeats Kapa‘a, 49-7 in a season opener

HANAPEPE - The Waimea Menehune (2-1 overall, 1-0 KIF) opened the 2008 Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation prep football regular season with a resounding 49-7 home victory over the visiting Kapa‘a Warriors (1-2 overall, 0-1 KIF) Friday evening at Hanapepe Stadium.

The defending league champion Kaua`i Red Raiders (2-0 overall, 0-0 KIF) begin league play next Friday, September 19th, when they host the Menehune at Vidinha Stadium in Lihu‘e.
