Basketball officials association seeks new officials

HONOLULU (Sept. 20, 2023) – The Hawaii State Basketball Officials Association (HSBOA) invites all individuals who are interested in officiating high school basketball to its first meeting on Tuesday, September 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Damien Memorial School gym and classroom.

Individuals with no experience or those who wish to officiate youth and intermediate leagues are also encouraged to attend.  Must be 18-years or older to officiate.

The association is a nonprofit organization that officiates Oahu Interscholastic Association boys and girls basketball games. All members will attend mandatory sessions in rules, mechanics, and philosophy as well as on-court situations.
