Kaiser High School is seeking: Assistant Softball Coach, JV Cheer Coach & Head Varsity Track & Field Coach

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organize and supervise a Softball program 
• Teach the game of Softball, provide knowledge, strategy, enthusiasm and respect for the game and opponents.
• Relating to and communicating with student athletes, parents, officials’, teachers, admin and community.
• Fundraise for team gear and equipment
• Care and maintenance of facilities and field, equipment accountability, Finance
• Attendance for all practices and games, home and away
• Present and provide softball information to Elementary and middle school, school and faculty and staff, other community groups as needed.
• Understanding of school grading policy
• Public Relations 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of coaching at the high school level or above
• Knowledge of technical aspects of Softball, strategies, and game rules
• Effective communication skills, oral and written
• Effective organization and time management skills
• Fundraising and budget experience 
• Philosophy on academics and other co-curricular decisions
• NFHS coaching certification preferred 
• College graduate preferred

Deadline: 

• Organize and supervise a total sports program JV to Varsity
• Relating to and communicating with student athletes, parents, teachers, admin.
• Finance, equipment accountability, care and maintenance of facilities
• Compliance with all state, league, school policies, regulations and procedures
• Attendance for all practices and games, home and away
• Travel to neighbor island may be required if qualifying for HHSAA Tournament
• Public Relations 
• Demonstrate flexibility and readiness to perform any duties as assigned by the Principal and Athletic Director. 
• Promote a culture of integrity, dedication, and sportsmanship

• Minimum 3 years of coaching at the high school level or above
• Knowledge of technical aspects of Track and Field, Track/Field events, point system, strategies, and game rules
• Organize and lead practices, conditioning sessions, and game/competition preparation.
• Equipment and Maintenance 
• Teaching fundamentals- Stretching, technique, running drills, form, etc.
• Effective communication skills, oral and written
• Effective organization and time management skills
• Fundraising and budget experience 
• Philosophy on academics and other co-curricular decisions
• NFHS coaching certification preferred 
• College graduate preferred 
• Must pass background checks and complete required coaching certifications
• Position does not include a teaching line.
