UH Sports Media RelationsThe third-seeded Iolani Red Raiders advanced to the semifinals of the Hawaiian Airlines HHSAA Division I Girls Basketball Championship with a 50-39 win over Radford on Wednesday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Iolani (12-2), which will face Konawaena, had a balanced attack, with seven players posting four points or more. Alana Matayoshi and Chanel Hirata scored 10 points apiece while Jamie Smith added eight points and nine rebounds.
Radford (14-3) will face Kalani Thursday. They were led by Ta Nitra Byrd, who had 22 points and 20 rebounds.
