UH Sports Media RelationsSecond-seeded Konawaena went ahead 33-19 at the half and never looked back, defeating Kalani 58-46 in the Hawaiian Airlines HHSAA Division I Girls Basketball Championship Wednesday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Wildcats (15-0) were led by Mana Hopkins, who had 14 points and 18 rebounds. Jazzmine Awa-Williams added 19 points, going 5-for-6 from the field and 8-for-10 from the free-throw line.
Megan Kamehiro led the Falcons (13-4) with 15 points. Rhianna Farm added 12 rebounds and four blocks while Courtney Gaddis had eight points and four blocks.
