UH Sports Media RelationsKonawaena advanced to their third title game in four years with a 50-41 victory over Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion Iolani in the 2007 Hawaiian Airlines HHSAA Girls Division I Basketball State Championship semifinal game Thursday at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Jazzmine Awa-Williams had 27 points and five rebounds, going 14-for-18 from the free-throw line. Mana Hopkins added eight points and eight rebounds for the Wildcats (16-0), who will face Punahou Friday in the championship game.
The Red Raiders (12-3) were led by Jamie Smith, who posted 28 points, 13 rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Iolani will face Honoka`a in the third-place game on Friday.
