Parents, Students, and Coaches, When purchasing a bat for the 2011-2012 school year, please keep this in mind. In order for a bat to be allowed in state tournament play, it will have to meet the following requirements: - All bats not made of a single piece of wood
shall meet the Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution (BBCOR) performance
standard, and such bats shall be labeled with a silkscreen or other permanent
certification mark. No non manufacturer
BBCOR label, sticker or decal will be accepted on non-wood bat. The certification mark shall read “BBCOR
.50”;
- The bat can have a diameter no larger than 2 5/8”; AND
- The bat can be no lighter than 3 ounces less than the length (i.e. 32 in/29 oz).
